’Green painting’ programme gets VND148mil in first sale
Twenty seven works which won prizes in the “Green Painting” drawing contest last month were sold for a total of VND148.25 million, in which the painting “Khung canh que em” (My country’s setting) fetched VND50,000 from Nguyen Minh Tuan of Alpha Company.

The paintings were sold in the new-year meeting of Leading Business Club late last week when TTT Company, co-organizer of the Green Painting program, introduced the program and called for the sales to finance the program.
At the meeting, PepsiCo International Vietnam Co., Tan Hiep Phat Co., Dong Tam Joint Stock Co., Hoa Binh Construction and Real Estate Corp., Minh Long 1 Company and Nguyen Tan-Foci Co. all agreed to support the program.
The War Remnants Museum and the HCMC General Sciences Library in cooperation with Saigon Times Group, Saigon Times Foundation, TTT Company and Y Ngoc Sy Hoang Gallery will co-host the program over the next five years.
‘Green Painting’ is an annual drawing contest for 4 to 15 year olds organized by the HCMC General Sciences Library since 1998. The program is aimed to encourage creativity.
