Speaker of Australia’s House of Representatives votes for Ha Long Bay

Harry Jenkins, Speaker of Australia’s House of Representatives, on January 9 visited the northern province of Quang Ninh where he voted for Ha Long Bay as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

During a working session with the Australian guest, the provincial leaders briefed him on the socio-economic development situation in the province which is located in the northern key economic triangle, and its potential for developing ports, tourism and the coal industry.
Mr Jenkins was happy about the province’s development but expressed his concern about the preservation and promotion of the World’s Cultural Heritage site of Ha Long Bay.
